Sustainable construction and design have become an expanding concept the last couple of years, but, what does it really mean?
Any new home construction requires a lot of thinking, collaboration with building codes and proper design practices, and to lower our impact on the environment should be one of them. At Nicolay Design Studio, all elements of our designs have been thought through to be the least harmful for construction, and to withstand the test of time without negative effects on our surroundings.

Our Vision
Building a home can often sound like a daunting and expensive task for any owner, therefore, Nicolay Design Studio introduces a more approachable way to turn your project into a reality. As architects and designers, we have seen first hand the lengthiness, complexity and great cost that goest into building a residential project, therefore, we seek to introduce an improved and simplified process for outstanding home design.
By offering a downloadable full set of Architectural Drawings in the “The Complete Design Package” for each of our designs, any home owner can easily build one of our cabins, with all finishes, appliances, overall layout and structure already hand-picked for a stunning result. If you are still a bit indecisive and would like to have just the basics for you to compare designs, we also offer the “The Starter Design Package”, which includes floor plans and elevations.
